However, it is chapter 7 that reveals much about the history that Edna has concerning her rebellious nature. However, such kind of perception, especially to a dead man, was in a way a perfect portrayal of the weakness that Edna suffered the pain as well of having an unfulfilled love. All these were some of the reasons that aggravated her need to express herself to the world. The story that needs to be told by Edna, as seen, is the story of the awakening that is seen in her body. Such is described by the author asthe animalism that has forever stirred impatiently within her (Chopin 293). Her body has been the one that has suffered more from the silence as it had never found a perfect place to express her desires openly. It is this, however, that he must rebel against, in a bid to set her body and soul free. She must be able to tell her story and be able to explain or narrate her desires to the people, who might sometimes take advantages of her silent and muted nature (McConnell 44). The incident that happens at the Grand Isle, very early in the novel, represents a foreshadowing of the move that will be taken by Edna. That when moving from the appreciation of the passive consumption and appreciation of the arts, towards the side in which it demands active participation, towards the authority as well as the expression of oneself. Sallust and Plutarch, while coming from different worlds and living different lives werevery much alike in the thoughts that they presented in their writing on the fall of theRoman Republic. Sallust was an active individual in Roman politics during the Republicsdecline. He was a tribune in 52 BC who was kicked out of the Senate amid allegations ofimmorality. In 49 BC Sallust was in command of one of Julius Caesars legions and waselected to Praetor in 47 BC. Taking part in the African Campaign earned him thegovernorship of Numidia in. Upon his return to Rome in the early 40s BC however he wascharged with extortion, only to be released by Caesar. It is remarkable how easily these twopeoples united after they had been gathered together in one community in the light of theirdifferences in race and in language and the disparity in the way in which each of themlived: in a short time a diverse and nomadic mass of people was transformed by harmony intoa Republic. It is clear that both Sallust and Plutarch holdthe view that good old-fashioned morality is a good thing. In their writings they portraythe founders of The Republic as possessing this morality. It was the pietas, virtus,clementia, and iustitia that the founders of the Republic possessed that built the respublica against all odds. The Unit has a staff of 60 RN's who are certified nurses at levels I, II, and III. At times the Unit will receive patients that have received medications for specific reasons or they have received pain medications for post-surgery purposes. Typically, the patients have received both fentanyl (a short-acting pain medication) and dilaudid (long-acting) pain medication. At times the anesthesiologist will not report when they gave the last dose of pain medication. The medication has been administered early in some cases, or late in the case of the patient having been in the operating room. However, this information is documented on the anesthesia work sheet. The Unit receives the patient from the operating room (OR) in the PACU and the patient may screaming or saying they are in pain.
